it’s hot. it’s really hot here in the midwest. too hot to get outside, or to get the kids outside (unless there’s a pool involved). so if you’re stuck inside, it’s a pretty good weekend to do some fun crafty fun with the kids with a red, white + blue themed-project!
this project is a great one for toddlers (with some help with the paint + scissors, of course) through teenagers. have the kiddos grab their supplies + get making with this fun, hands-on project for the 4th of july weekend!

what i love about this project? it’s a wonderful way to add a little decor to a fireplace mantle, over a fun, food-filled table, to carry in a 4th of july parade, or to decorate a bike with.
total side thought: i really do love the 4th. it’s one holiday where i love trying to make some new dessert or thing for our annual 4th of july get together. this year, the boys are in charge of two things: guacamole + oreo cake pops. my bestie has sent me a six layer cake that i’m pretty certain i’m going to have to try!
have your supplies + kiddos ready? check out the how-to video over on my youtube channel (plus there are lots more projects you can dig into this hot, holiday weekend!)
have an amazing, fun + safe holiday weekend!
