if you know me personally, you know that little mr. re-nest #1 is currently obsessed with the “back to the future” trilogy. obsessed doesn’t even feel like a strong enough word to describe the sitch in our house right now. there are #bttf things everywhere. ever since the boys got their 3d printer at Christmas, we’ve been printing every type of marty mcfly-inspired, doc brown-focused goodies you can imagine.
so, at least when #1 threw down the birthday party gauntlet (again) this year, i felt pretty confident we’d have what we needed to design + style a party for my sweet boy. (note: we did scale it back this year. we did a family-only party this year, which was really nice and laid back. for some reason, i just felt like this was the right thing for us to do this year.)
i started where i always do…getting inspo from pinterest. there are some examples of “back to the future” parties out there (mostly from october 21, 2015), but nothing for a nine-year-old boy. so, we kind of did it our way, and i have to say that it turned out pretty awesome (and, my boy was h-a-p-p-y, which was all i wanted to see!)
so, here goes….the party in all its glory for our sweet, incredibly tall, generous + loving boy!
