the personalized ecclesiastes 4:9-12 wedding gift, available now on the etsy shop!

personally, i love the idea of giving a personalized gift for a wedding. yes, engaged couples spend a lot of time curating a registry (or in my case, registries…forgive me, i was working part-time at pottery barn and it was all just sort of there) with home goods to make the perfect kitchen and the perfect home. but, there’s just something wonderful about giving a gift that features the new couple’s monogram, wedding date, wedding location, or anything that’s meaningful to the happy couple. that’s why when i meet someone who thinks the way i do with wedding gift giving, i feel an instant kinship.

it wasn’t just this reason that i feel a great bond with the pastor of the church that has become our home in this past year. when she and i started getting to know one another, i shared my passions as a mother, a wife, and as a maker, telling her about what i make and why i started re-nest studio. she appreciated the fact that i try to make pieces personalized and meaningful to people, and we were soon talking about how i could help create unique, one-of-a-kind, meaningful gifts for her to give to the couples whose weddings she would officiate.

what an honor. i can’t tell you. not only did she appreciate my design work (always a treat!), but she saw how i could help her give a great gift that would be truly meaningful for these new couples.

over the labor day weekend, i had the privilege of delivering a new custom wedding piece, featuring a special and meaningful bible verse appropriate for a new couple. i loved figuring out how to bring this piece to life in a dimensional way, that would work for any neutral color palette.

in fact, i love this piece so much that i’ve opened this special piece up to my etsy shop for special order. available in 12″ x 12″ featuring a shadow box, two colors + a piece of cord, i hope i get to make many more of these for special couples!
