if you know, you know. if you don’t know, i’m of course speaking of jenny han and her absolute genius adaptation of the summer i turned pretty book trilogy. also important point of clarification: i have been obsessed with the tv series since it started back with season one, it was just this last, final season that the rest of the world joined my obsession and gave us fans something to live for each wednesday. (i’m 50% joking on that last part…i mean, it has been something to look forward to.)

i’ve even allowed my obsession to filter in to my creative world! a season three kick off watch party. super cute bookmarks. pomegranate mocktails. chocolate covered pretzels. and now this week: lemon bars. (if you don’t know the connection to the show + lemon bars, they’re laurel’s specialty. she makes them for belly’s wedding shower.)

as the fandom heads into the final episode, i have been dying to try and make a lemon bar. my husband mentioned he likes them + they’re something i have never tried to bake. i discovered this awesome recipe, which took the fewest number of ingredients – that i actually had in the house – and took a stab at them!

these were actually super easy to make, and more importantly: they are insanely delicious. seriously. both of my boys raved about them.

no idea if making these will help manifest a #TeamConrad ending, but i know that’s what i’m rooting for. (and have been since s1!)
